APRIL 2024: DATE OF COMMISSIONING OF THE RER E TO NANTERRE

The civil engineering of the tunnel on the EOLE site, between Nanterre and Haussmann-Saint-Lazare is now complete. The tunnel boring machine was dismantled and evacuated. The commissioning of the RER E EOLE extension is scheduled for April 2024, after a series of tests which started on July 5, 2023 and should continue until the end of 2023. All the tests will be carried out throughout this period, both on rolling stock and on infrastructure. The extension to Mantois should be operational in 2026. The EOLE project will cost a total of €5.4 billion, or €1.7 billion more than expected in 2012. This additional cost does not block the continuation of the project. Several agreements have been reached with all the funders (Ile-de-France region, city of Paris, Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines departments, Société du Grand Paris.
