MOBILITY PLAN STATE – REGION: new agreement of 8.4 billion euros signed

The State and the Ile-de-France Region signed an investment memorandum of understanding for 2023 – 2027 on December 20, 2023. In total, more than 8.4 billion euros will therefore be invested to strengthen the supply transport and green mobility in the territory by the end of the five-year term. – 3.7 billion for the Ile-de-France region, or 44%, – 3 billion for the State and the Société du Grand Paris, or 36%, – 1.7 billion expected for other financiers (local authorities, RATP operators, SNCF, SGP, IDFM), or 20%. One billion euros will be invested to prepare for the arrival of the Grand Paris Express metro. The “absolute priority will be the modernization of the existing network , for nearly 1.8 billion euros, which must be used in particular for the automation of RER B and D and to improve metro regularity on the lines used every day by 1 .65 million travelers,” summarized Valérie PECRESSE . The contract also serves to finalize the extension of the RER E Eole to Mantois, for €1.7 billion, as well as six new line projects on the horizon at the end of 2017.
